 Alain Guillou started photography at 12. Since 1974 he published his reports in most of the leading international magazines worldwide.
As a freee lance photographer, he manages his own syndication.

Alain remonte le nil sur son voilier

Alain Guillou won the First Price of the “PICTURE OF THE YEAR” (USA) for his report on the reconstitution of the first manned flight during the Bi-Centennial of the aviation. Picture published in Life, Stern, Sunday Times Magazine, National Geographic Magazine.

Encountering Malcolm S. Forbes Alain established a friendly relationship with the US millionaire and his family. He realized during the last decade numerous reports on the Capitalist Tool . They appeared in hundreds of international magazines.

The publication of his reports often reach a very large amount of magazines : per example, more than 150 magazines printed their report "Balloons Safaris in Kenya" which is still being published .

To raise funds for Image Odyssey, Alain intensively searched for sponsors and partners. Additionally he is now launched an edition of printed images reproductions for in house decoration.

Parallèlement, il lance sur Internet une application d'envoi de cartes postales électroniques (e-cards) dont le pouvoir promotionnel est reconnu par tous les grands intervenants du Web.

During his hang gliding expedition in 1977, a free flight from Lenana Point Mount Kenya, Alain Guillou performed a hang glider release from a balloon above the Masaï Mara Game Reserve. He decided then to launch an airline company operating "Balloon Safaris" over the National Parks and Game Reserves.

Co-founder of Air Libre Sarl and Kenya Balloon Ltd, he was responsible for the administrative and commercial steps in the launching of the company. He also assumed the technical direction of the flight for two years..

Alain Guillou is one of the hang gliding pionneers in Europe. He performed many "firsts" and flights from high mountains such as the : Volcanic Etna, the Mount Blanc, Mount Kenya (Lenana Point), Winner of the 1rst Icare Cup 1974. .
